Today there is a story from Style,com about Mickey Dexler, the CEO of the J Crew Group. We like this story and we like Mickey for two main reasons – selfishly we love to see a 70 year old still very much in the game every day. He is the head of a company in a business that is as competitive as any and that is populated by smart, obviously fashionable younger players. We also like him because he talks about the importance of curiosity.
We believe that it is in being curious that we (older women and our friends and partners) can continue to dig beyond what is there on the surface, to understand, see the context, develop new ideas and stay at the table as long as we want.
