36792c914b696846ae5eac0ba0d22b1d_400x400Cartier, long known as the premier jeweler and watchmaker, has recently established an atelier in France that incorporates artisans to make what they call “their magic”.  The exciting thing about this approach to the fashion industry is that this way of creating product is being done by only thirty skilled artisans and engineers.  It means that the old established ways of creating beautiful jewelry and timepieces are respected but they integrate engineers who look at the technologies available to incorporate into the creative process.

We are always looking for stories in fashion that respect the integrity and the import of the artisan and this is a perfect example of that. We believe that fashion can be art and, at this level, it is truly an investment to be appreciated and treasured:
