Several months ago, we featured the arrival of Primark, the Irish Department Store, on US soil.  With a tip of the hat to our Irish heritage, on Black Friday we went shopping to see what they are offering .

We were amazed at the wonderful bargains – and pleasantly surprised that this collection would be perfect for us – Who says Black Friday is only about others – you can make it a gift to yourself.

As those who read us regularly you know we love the icons of fashion and style and the historic buildings that housed their collections.

Growing up in Boston, Filenes’ Boston Headquarters, along with Jordan Marsh, was where you went for a Christmas outing to see the holiday windows and marvel at floor after floor of clothing and accessories.  Primark dared to take over this space, let’s see if they live up to the magic.
