We have to admit that we love eyeglasses. And the right pair really do make a statement about who you are. However, that being said, choosing the appropriate frames is a challenge. 610494832There are far too many frames to choose from and, how about looking into those little mirrors they have at the counter that make you look too closely at your face? And vanity plays a huge role in making the right selection. Do you like large or small frames or brightly colored or subtle? Do you want glasses that make you look like Iris Apfel or small ones like IM Pei?

At some point. we find that we may need more than one kind of lens, one for distance and one for close up. Contacts are an option but, even with them, we too often need reading glasses. Whatever you do, there is one no-no, which are those strings around the neck that anchor the glasses.  We would rather spent ten minutes a day looking for the missing pair. Mountain View Inn

Last week we gave you ideas to enjoy luxury hotels without paying all of the money. This week it is back to dreaming. With the arrival of fall, the rush is on to sweep us off our feet to escape the winter doldrums. Some of these hotels we know well, like the Twins Farms in Vermont and we would like to add Hidden Pond in Maine as a particular favorite of ours.
