I’m not sure when we developed a conscience about where and how our clothing was made. We are seasoned shoppers and for us, maybe we looked at the label to see what the fabric was or whether it was made in the USA, but that was all. That is until we learned about the sweatshops and conditions in countries like India and Bangladesh.

We recognize now that we have a responsibility to be vigilant in tracking the origins of what we buy. We need to seek out and welcome the entry of new players from East Africa into the industry and prove to the market that we will support product from these emerging economies:
