Shoe Fetish

I adore shoes! Look at Sarah Jessica Parker and her love affair with shoes. She has a foot thing as well.

I perused the sale at SAKS in New York yesterday and there were just fabulous looking heels from Manolo Blahnik, from Christian Louboutin and, of course, Jimmy Choo. Even though the shoes I adored were 70% off, they were still over $350 and unfortunately the heel was really high. Lucy and I admit it. The days of that high a heel are over. I even window-shopped the Belgian Shoe salon but I am not ready for that look yet.

So along comes this amazing site that Lucy found where you can custom the shoe and the heel height! Really and they are much less expensive and you can “design” the exact shoe you want in the exact color. Lucy and I readily acknowledge that the days of the truly sexy heel might be behind us, but now you can have the shoe with a more manageable heel and even a width that will accommodate our feet, as they seem to have widened over time.

This site is another example of how technology and online companies are changing the way we shop. Lucy is definitely going for the ballet flats but I couldn’t help but notice the suede mid heel that would be so fabulous with my latest on sale Tahari dress:    www.shoesofprey.com
