First day of spring and, of course, it is snowing here in New England. But it will be 60 degrees in two days so how can we complain?

In spite of the snow outside, we are looking forward to spring and summer fashions and, in particular, summer shoes and sandals. But there are some sandals that just do not cut it. The right sandal for the right outfit is what we say.

For example, the huarache style sandal works for shorts and summer casual but not for an evening out in a designer dress. Flip flops work for casual dress, but again, not for a well turned out dress or outfit. Tory Burch gold sandals are perfect for an evening out. However, they are expensive for the amount of leather in them.

So here are new looks for this season’s sandals to tantalize. There is something for every budget and every look. Much as we like the idea of the thick sandals, like Birkenstocks, we confess to have never owned a pair:
