This week, I found myself in a situation where I may have to make some really big changes in my life. I called my gal pals and, as always, found comfort in their caring and thoughtful advice.
One friend said, “ If you knew you only had 3-5 years of quality life, how would you like to live?” Simple counsel, but yet her words were incredibly powerful. Guess what was on the radar screen? Travel, and it continues to be in Lucy’s bucket as well. For many of us, travel is no longer as a couple or family, so we either find friends to travel with us or we look for travel opportunities where we can be comfortable solo.
Fall is the perfect time to travel – crowds are smaller, weather more suitable for city walks and the price drops in the in-between season of late September through October. If you have not tried a solo trip, now might be the time. It does not have to measure up to “Wild” or Eat, Pray, Love”.
