We have to hand it to Target, they are brilliant at collaborating with product lines, and they are even more astute to do so for a limited time only. They have announced a collaboration with Marimekko, the Finnish manufacturer of bold cotton prints. The line will be introduced into Target stores in April.
Remember, we wrote about the design manufacturer two months ago, recalling the early days of Design Research in Cambridge, the innovative store that was a leader in introducing Marimekko to the United States.
Target announced its collaboration with the design house for a 200-piece collection for summer. One of the most delightful products is a child’s tent done in bold Marimekko fabric. It makes us want one for someone, even for one of our dogs! And almost all of the products are under $100! What a fun and inexpensive way to brighten up our home and our wardrobe:
