Fashion Week, New York!  Who better to tell us what to wear than the teams of fashion editors? And what they wear to get through the madness will surprise you as their choices are very wearable.12morning-master768 Being in the trenches for 10-14 hours a day means that ridiculous heels and bizarre fabrics are passed over for practicality and comfort, at least during FWNY:

Kate Spade Signature Bag

How could we have missed this, but we did. There is no actual person named Kate Spade at the top of the brand.  And this happened 10 years ago.  We both own Kate Spade, with its distinctive style, and logo embossed on all of it, hard to miss with distinctive colors and textures and its all too “cutesy look”. Kate sold the business 10 years ago and now has returned with a new launch called Frances Valentine.  At first blush. she looks a lot like our Kate. Does it change our perception of the brand? And is there a difference between Kate then and Kate now? You be the judge: http://fashionista.com/2016/09/frances-valentine-spring-2017?utm_

There is always a place for a Miss America story, the pageant that has been going strong since 1921.  We have memories of watching the show or at least being able to “stay up” for part of it. This look back at the pageant history has some interesting facts, and is worth a read to see how the Miss America story has changed or not:01-holding-miss-america
