Regardless of your political leanings, and knowing we are decidedly not the place for politics, this has been a difficult week in America.
As two women who have raised children to be caring thoughtful adults, we tried to instill in our sons and daughters decency toward others and, we hope, a moral compass. We are a generation whose adolescence marked milestones such as the birth control pill, the equal rights amendment, and title nine. These game changers forever altered, the way we love, live and work.
What can we say today when the conversation reverts to the stereotypical views we believed we had moved beyond? We can celebrate our fellow women travelers for being smart, strong, sexy and loving. We celebrate women who have witnessed and shared our generation’s journey and who understand how to reinvent themselves when life demands that we do:
